Shankar Nag’s debut movie Ondanondu Kaaladalli, which literally means Once Upon a Time, was a Kannada adaptation of Kurosawa’s Seven Samurai, and was directed by Girish Karnad. One of the finest movies ever made, the movie has some fascinating stunt scenes, involving Kalaripayattu.
