Basically in 1950 the Communist Party of China eliminated the Kuomintang from the Chinese political equation and became the other big all-communist nation, declaring themselves the Peoples’ Republic of China.
Naturally they then put fraandsip with the Russkies and printed stamps showing the Peoples’ Shakehand.
